Salmon and Dill Burger - British Main course

Ingredients

  • 100 g smoked salmon
  • 500 g Salmon fillet
  • 125 g Panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 piece lemon juice (Juice of ½ lemon)
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 small bunch Dill (Chopped)
  • 2.5 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 67 Salt (To taste)
  • 67 Black pepper (To taste)
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Capers (Chopped)
  • 0.5 piece lemon juice (Juice of ½ lemon)
  • 4 piece Burger buns
  • 500 g Salmon fillet (Use firm tofu for a vegan option)
    Alternative: tofu

Instructions

  1. Chop the smoked salmon and salmon fillet into small pieces. Combine in a bowl with panko breadcrumbs, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper.

  2. Mix well and shape into 4 burgers.

  3. Prepare the lemon and caper mayonnaise by mixing mayonnaise, chopped capers, and lemon juice in a small bowl.

  4. Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

  5. Fry the salmon burgers for 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. Serve the salmon burgers in burger buns with a generous dollop of lemon and caper mayonnaise.
