Ensenada Fish Tacos - Mexican Fish and Seafood

Ingredients

  • 500 g white fish fillets (Cut into strips)
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 0.5 cup Beer
  • 2 cup Cabbage (Shredded)
  • 1 piece Carrot (Grated)
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 piece Lime (Juice)
  • 8 piece Tortilla (wheat)

Instructions

  1. Cut the fish into strips.

  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, and beer until a smooth batter forms.

  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. Dip the fish strips in the batter and carefully place them in the hot oil.

  5. Fry the fish for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. Remove the fish from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  7. Warm the tortillas.

  8. Fill each tortilla with fried fish, shredded cabbage, grated carrot, mayonnaise, and lime juice.

  9. Serve immediately.
