Honey Glazed Duck Breast - French Main Course

Ingredients

  • 2 piece Duck breast
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions

  1. Score the duck breast skin in a crosshatch pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat.

  2. Season the duck breasts with salt.

  3. Place the duck breasts skin-side down in a cold pan over medium heat. Cook for 8-10 minutes, rendering the fat and crisping the skin.

  4. Flip the duck breasts and cook for 3-5 minutes for medium-rare, or longer to your preference.

  5. Remove the duck breasts from the pan and let rest for 5 minutes.

  6. While the duck is resting, deglaze the pan with balsamic vinegar and honey. Simmer until slightly thickened.

  7. Slice the duck breasts and serve drizzled with the balsamic honey glaze.
