Lasagne Bolognese - Italian Main Course

Ingredients

  • 500 g Minced beef
  • 12 piece lasagne sheets
  • 1 piece Yellow onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 piece Celery stalk
  • 2 piece Carrot
  • 200 g Tomato purée
  • 200 ml red wine
  • 200 g Grated cheese
  • 50 g Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the onion, garlic, celery, and carrots.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan and sauté the chopped vegetables until softened.

  3. Add the minced beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

  4. Pour in the red wine and let it simmer for a few minutes until reduced.

  5. Stir in the tomato purée and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

  7. In a baking dish, layer the meat sauce, lasagne sheets, and grated cheese. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese.

  8. Sprinkle Parmesan on top.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

  10. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
