American Pancakes - American Breakfast

Ingredients

  • 175 g Self-raising flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp Golden caster sugar
  • 2 piece Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Melted butter
  • 200 ml Milk
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil (plus extra for frying)
  • 2 tbsp Melted butter (Melted butter alternative)
    Alternative: Vegetable oil
  • 200 ml Milk (Milk alternative)
    Alternative: Oat milk
  • 2 piece Eggs (Egg alternative)
    Alternative: Flax eggs

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and a pinch of salt in a large bowl.

  2. Create a well in the center, then add eggs, melted butter and milk. Whisk until smooth.

  3. Heat a little oil in a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat.

  4. Pour 2-3 tablespoons of batter into the pan for each pancake. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown and fluffy.

  5. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
