- 4 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 tsp Salt
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 cup sesame seeds (heaping cup, toasted)
Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.

Divide dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each into a rope about 20 inches long. Fold in half, twist, and form into a ring.

Dip each ring into diluted molasses, then coat with sesame seeds.

Place rings on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes.

Preheat oven to 220°C (430°F). Bake simit for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
